12-1-08 Minutes
Here are the minutes from last night (sorry, they're not going to be
as good as Amy's!)
Jake, Nick, Drew, and Mandi got together and revised the constitution.
We fixed some spelling errors, added a few amendments and the voted
unanimously to adopt it. When Jake get's everything updated I'll have
him send an updated copy out to the email list in case anyone wants to
look at it.
We elected new officers. Our New Co-Chairs are Drew Ajer and Mandy
McCourt (Drew's term will last through the end of next fall, and to
keep gender balanced and off-setting elections, Mandy's term will just
run through this spring). Sonja Johnson is our new secretary and Nick
Prince is our new treasurer and will continue to be our DLC rep.
We are tabling Thursday from 2-8 to sell t-shirts for $10. HEre is
the schedule.

This was our last meeting of the year. If there is any interest in

What is conservative values? What is our message? Shouldn’t we build a progressive message and agenda? We then can have the kind of state we want and build our future accordingly.

Debate the Presidential Debates!
DLC is doing a block allocation so we will be working with them to get stuff funded
GOTV training! Saturday, Oct. 11th from 5-7pm in Mankato (on Mankato State campus). Talk to Kacy if you want to attend!
Speaking of…. GOTV is coming up quickly! We will be doing a ton of stuff so get ready! Think lit drops in the dorms, hanging outside of the academic buildings on Election Day!
And then we party! Election Night party will be in the Dive! Big THANK YOU to Terry Morrow for donating $500 for this! Hello Democrats--
Here are the minutes from tonights meeting! Next meeting is Monday,
September 15th at 7pm in the Boardroom.
Welcome from Galen. He is excited about this important year.
Around the room for introductions. Lots of freshmen and sophomores!!! YEA!
Charles is the liaison to the Republicans, but he missed the first
meeting. Oh well.
Alex Knewtson and Co. from the Tim Walz campaign talked about a lot of
great opportunities (Contact Kacy for their contact information).
Eric Nelson talked on behalf of the DFL. More great opportunities to
volunteer this election season.
