12-1-08 Minutes

Hey Everyone,

Here are the minutes from last night (sorry, they're not going to be
as good as Amy's!)

Jake, Nick, Drew, and Mandi got together and revised the constitution.
We fixed some spelling errors, added a few amendments and the voted
unanimously to adopt it. When Jake get's everything updated I'll have
him send an updated copy out to the email list in case anyone wants to
look at it.

We elected new officers. Our New Co-Chairs are Drew Ajer and Mandy
McCourt (Drew's term will last through the end of next fall, and to
keep gender balanced and off-setting elections, Mandy's term will just
run through this spring). Sonja Johnson is our new secretary and Nick
Prince is our new treasurer and will continue to be our DLC rep.

We are tabling Thursday from 2-8 to sell t-shirts for $10. HEre is
the schedule.
2:00 Kacy
3:00 Chelsea
4:00 Drew and Mandy
5:00 Linnea and Sonha
6:00 Drew and Mandy
7:00 Nick Prince

This was our last meeting of the year. If there is any interest in
meeting in January, email Drew (aajer). Otherwise, we'll reconvene in
the Spring.

I wish everyone the best with finals and a happy holidays! Thanks for
making fall amazing!

Senate Recount

Okay Nicollet County might be stuck with a GOP Senator, assuming he doesn't switch parties... Coleman is up now but Franken's coming back! Every vote!

And Nicollet County did go for Franken. This will be the new development to watch, obviously, for Minnesota's Senate seat at stake.

A Tremendous Night

OBAMA-BIDEN WINS
TIM WALZ WINS
TERRY MORROW WINS
ENVIRONMENTAL MEASURE PASSES
DEMOCRATIC OVAL OFFICE, SENATE, HOUSE
STATE DFL PICKUPS
NICOLLET COUNTY ALL DEMOCRATIC

President-elect Obama will be sworn in on January 20! What a time!

Thank you to everyone who did so much!
